Includes in-home appointment, running a malware scan, and basic set of diagnostic tests on the internal components of the computer (RAM, hard drive, motherboard). This set of tests usually takes about 15 minutes, after which we will present you with the results, recommendations, and a hassle free quote. ($0 Limited Time Offer)

Some problems don't show up on a preliminary diagnostic test, at which point we often recommend running a full test. This test takes an hour or more, and gives a more in depth look into the root of the problem. We will then offer the appropriate repair service based on the results, and if you choose to have us complete the repair, we will refund the full diagnostics price toward the cost of the repair.

Includes removing unnecessary software, optimizing startup applications, performing a virus scan, scanning and cleaning the system registry, and checking/optimizing Windows Update settings.

A PC tune-up is a proactive maintenance service. While it may provide a boost in system performance, a tune-up will not resolve underlying problems. If you are having one or more specific issues with your computer, please refer to 'the Computer Diagnostics' section at the top of this page.

Includes removing all instances of viruses, malware, and spyware, enabling or installing virus protection to protect against recurring threats, and a tutorial of cyber security best practices.

A new threat called ransomware is increasingly common. This type of malware essentially "locks" all of the information on your computer  leaving the attacker with the only "key." Ransomware is often impossible to remove without completely erasing all data on the computer. Please call for details.

Includes replacing a cracked, or damaged laptop display with a new part that meets or exceeds OEM specifications, and testing for functionality.

The price of a new laptop display varies by model, size, resolution, and whether or not the display has touch screen capability. A repair on a standard 15.6" laptop without touchscreen can usually be completed for $149. For an exact quote, please call and have your model number or service tag handy.

Includes complete re-installation of your operating system and system drivers. This is sometimes referred to as a "restore" because the procedure wipes the computer clean and restores the operating system to the condition it was in when it was first purchased.

A memory upgrade will enable you to multitask quicker and more efficiently. The amount of RAM in your system directly impacts the number of windows, programs, and browser tabs you can have open simultaneously before your system begins to slow down. Prices vary based on what type of memory your computer requires, and how much you wish to increase it by.

An SSD (Solid State Drive) upgrade is the number one thing you can do to speed up a computer, drastically reducing the amount of time it takes for your computer to load up and programs to start. A traditional hard drive has a moving disc, and data is accessed on that disc similar to a record playing on a record player. A solid state drive has no moving parts, resulting in much snappier performance, more like a smart phone or tablet.

Includes unboxing, connecting all components, initial configuring and setup of user accounts, installing up to 3 customer provided software titles, connecting to the internet, enabling or installing virus protection, installing 1 printer or all-in-one, and a brief tutorial or Q&A. We will also haul away your old computer for free.

If you have a compatible phone or tablet, we will set that up to print to your new printer as well.

Includes transferring your data (Documents, Photos, Music, and Videos) from an old computer to a new one, from a broken computer to a working one, from a mobile device to a computer, or from a computer to an external hard drive or cloud storage.

Some services, such as a complicated virus removal, or a large data backup can take hours or even days to complete. To keep our prices competitive and offer the most convenient solutions to our customers, we can pick up your computer, perform the service off-site, and drop it back off to you on your schedule for no additional charge. This service may be offered based on evaluation and estimated time of completion, or you can request it for free.

You need your computer fixed yesterday, and we understand that.  If you choose to have Completech NJ pick up your computer for off-site service, we now offer our customers a loaner laptop to use freely while services are being performed, at no extra charge to you.  (Loaner laptops are in limited supply and are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis - availability is not guaranteed)

If you need a specific service that is not listed on this page, Completech NJ LLC will try to offer you a flat rate for that service upon request. If your unique situation requires advanced troubleshooting, a custom configuration, or anything else that cannot be offered as a flat rate service, Completech NJ LLC offers the following hourly service rates:

The first 1 to 60 minutes of service per visit is billed as a whole hour at a rate of $79

Each additional hour is billed in 30 minute increments at a rate of $59 per hour (or $29.50 per half hour)
